Azur et Asmar

Our school film festival was showing this fascinating belgian film. It was mainly in french, but there was also a lot of arabic spoken (thank goodness for subtitles!). The main attraction, if you will, was the animation, which was full of wonderfully vivid colors. However, the characters spoke and moved like robots. It seemed to be a children's story.
Basically, the film is about this french boy, Azur, who grew up with his nanny and her son, Asmar. She sang to him ancient arabic songs about a prince saving the Dijinn fairy and marrying her. The boy's father sent his nanny away and took all her belongings. When Azur was old enough, he sailed the sea as the tale said, but was shipwrecked. This was an arabian land, where he aimed to go, but his blue eyes scared the people and pretended to be blind. With the aid of another foreigner, Crapoux (tee-hee),  he finds his nanny in the city, who has become a rich widow. With Asmar, with whom he recently had a falling out with, they set out on a quest to save the Dijinn fairy.
In my opinion, it was okay, but very childish and robotic. The theme was brotherly love and perseverance.

Saturday is a fun day.

Saturdays are fun days. Don't you think? No work or school, just my brother demanding attention for his sports events and my parents ignoring me in favor of paint. That leaves me a whole day to rest and sleep. This is my off season. I consider them fun because my idea of fun is doing nothing. However, I might just run today.Or read. But that is nothing for me. Therefore: Saturday is a fun day. Or to quote the current student population, Saturday is a fun time.

Space Diapers!!!!!

I went on a school field trip to the Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. We went to a small auditorium in the interactive exhibit. They were doing a presentation on the international space station and space living. They chose me to be the "brave volunteer". Little did I know, something terribly embarassing   was in store for me. This was a demonstration of space suits and their materials. They put me in a "MAG", or Maxium Absorbency Garment. I was anything but thrilled when I learned that in place of that, I was given an ADULT DIAPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone to out their cell phones and snapped pictures of me. Of course, I was not embarassed at all (as if!).  My teacher sent a picture to the whole school staff! They then wrapped me in tubing to symbolize air conditioning. Then, A space suit, hat, and gloves completed the mini astronaut look. What a day!!!!!!!

Buzz

I am a frequent poster on buzz, googles social networking site. Recently, it has been having on-and-off problems. I am not able to post, or type comments. It also still keeps building up the number of new posts on the buzz tab, even though I already looked at the buzz. I sometimes can comment on Inboxed posts, but only sometimes. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's about time that I posted about the love of my life. No it's not justin beiber (yuck), or any celebrity. No, it's not a guy at my school, or any thing (currently) living. It's Chocolate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dark, truffled, fair trade, mmmm. Heaven on earth!!!! I pity those who live without it. I truly do. 75% is the best: bitter and flavorful, but still sweet and smooth. "Yum!" doesn't cover the goodness that the cacao brings to my taste buds. Not that I'm a snob or anything..... (which I probablly am). Oh well. Chocolate, how I love you so! At casino night during camp, I was "married" to it. I have a certificate and everything! SO who loves it?

TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't usually post stuff like this, but I need to know: What is a gob?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! People have been talking about this at lunch and on buzz and it's killing me!!!!!!! If anyone out there knows, please tell me!!!!!!!

Delays

Today, my school was wimpy enough to give us a two hour delay for ONE inch of snow. ONE INCH!!!!!!!!! Not that I'm complaining about time off, but really? I should be grateful for this, so I will try to be. Oh well. Life is sweet like that. YAYNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hehehehehe. The great thing about delays and early releases is that we don't have to make them up. Since we had school off yesterday, I'm ready to go back, but some extra time in the morning doesn't hurt.

Rooms, Oh My!

I spent a lot of time endlessly roaming this vast domain called the internet in search of ideas for creating a new bedroom for myself. My exploration ended in vain. My room is purple (!) and I want a sophisticated feel that probably won't come because if the minor disaster it is now. So far, I have taped up home depot paint samples in designs and with quotes on them. Whoop-de-do! Any ideas? I want to include green in it. Am thinking about rearrangement of my furniture. Wish me luck!

Well.....

I should blog, I've been told. Well, not really. But this medium of writing has intrigued me for some time. Everybody can see it, but probably won't. Here I shall explore the mysteries and curiosities of this life. God, I sound like a nerd. Who knows what I will write. Here, I will have opinions. Since this generation is amazingly critical and can't take a joke, it will be difficult to please. But dear readers, however few of you there may be, this is my manifesto for my world.
